Default New to site; suffer from thin hair and chronic stress

Hi everyone, I just joined the site. I'm been reading the forum a lot, and wonder if stress can play a role in hair loss? I've had chronic stress since childhood and severe anxiety, but I haven't had it checked out. I'm also 80lbs over weight, have poor nutrition (as far as I eat), and do very little exercise.

I've heard no hair product can help you unless the underlining reason is fixed, such as stress. I've recently been trying "Chronostim" Day/Night. It's a spray that's suppose to help stop hair loss and add growth. So far, due to my chronic stress, I haven't had much luck. When I first started, there was growth within the first couple of days. But then my anxiety flared up and it seems to have stalled.

I also take Saw Palmetto 1,000 UI and Biotin 2,000 UI, and a multi-vitamin.

    Any advise?

    QTL

If you do not start taking care of your self by losing weight and exercising regularly you will soon have much bigger problems that the hair loss. Sounds like you need to rearrange your priorities and put your own health at the top of the list. This may even help mto reduce your overall stress levels. Especially if you want to be around to help others.

I've tried everything I can think or and what I research on the internet. For some reason, I can't calm down. And sometimes I get "hot flashes", if you can believe it. I suffered a neck injury 3 weaks ago with a pinched nerve. When I was able to move my neck again, I felt the top of my scalp tingle, as if it were numb and starting to awaken. I feel my hair loss has a great deal to do with stress.
