Default Does the hair you shed from using minoxidil definitely grow back?

Hi all, my hair loss story is that iv'e started to recede a little. But i still have alot of thick hair all over. My plan was to take some 5% minoxidil with some AA in it to hopefully regrow the corners and maintain what i have. But i've read some stories of people saying it completely messed up their hairline and the hair hasn't grown back. Is this possible? I mean i will be able to deal with the shed if i know for sure it will all grow back

There is no such thing as definitely when it comes to treating any type of hair loss, except that it definitely will not come back if you don't treat it.

When it comes to Minoxidil, Propecia and LLLT, the hair that sheds out usually grows back and when it does it will be thicker than it was before.

Well are there any studies or something showing what percentage of people would not re grow shredded hair? If not, what percentage would you guess it is?

I must be an exception - and i know i harp on like an old record about it - but ppl need to hear it, good or bad...i applied Minox foam to my hairline for approx fourteen months - within six weeks i'd shed a lot, and it never returned. just my experience mate, other's have good luck. I wish the same to you too..

I am not aware of any studies in this specific aspect of the medication.

I do not want to try to guess because that simply would not be ethical. I do know that it is not many. Most who use this medication properly will regrow the hair that sheds out. An exception should be made for males who use this medication improperly, such as using it on their hair line. Most males cannot regrow hair in their hair line, especially temple hair. This limitation of this medication does not apply to females who use it.

See, i was told by "specialists" to use minoxidil on the hairline. They showed me results of people using it on their hairline and it was very impressive

And propecia. But they've been around for 25 years and helped thousands of men so surely there must be some truth to what they say. Especially when they have a gallery of hundreds and hundreds of people who have improved

I don't know if i'd say using it on the hairline is "improper" I've never been told or read anything that says it's bad to use it on the hairline and if anything it helped slow the loss on my hairline.

It is however more effective on the top of one's head and is moreso meant for that, but i see no reason to not apply it to your hairline as well.
