My uneducated guess would be approx 1,500 grafts. Your hair loss is NOT that bad at all....Good luck !!

Yeah, while I agree it is not that bad and I am pretty confident and got used of it, I do want after a decade to have some nice hair style.

All relatives in my family but my uncle, have no hair loss, none what so over, so Im considering myself be the lucky one .

I wouldn't go for ht if Id have mature line with nice line, but in the front "island" there is spreading hole.

I am thinking about ht for almost 2 years so I decided to for it.

I assumed it would be between 1000-2000, but always good to hear opinions from other fellow baldies.

The number of grafts you get transplanted is really dictated by 1) how aggressive your hair loss is and 2)how much donor supply you have. Each individual doctor will have their own interpretation as to how far down to place the hairline and how dense your resulting transplant will be based primarily on those two factors. From past experience, Finasteride also plays a role in deciding the overall game plan of your hair restoration. I recommend you get a few opinions from different doctors as to what they recommend and in general how much donor supply you are working with.

Hey Thinking, you must also consider that there WILL be some type of TREATMENT eventually available as well. Hypothetically, the mainstream way that we will recover our manes is to combine HT with a treatment from one of the companies working on them . What I mean is that you may not want to go overboard with a full scale HT

    Hi Thinking,
Your hairloss pattern is similar to me. If you want like a NW 1.5-2 when you are done, I would say 2000-2500 grafts for a thick dense packed result. You can see my 6 months result in this link:

    Good luck.

Probably 2500 in my opinion for the front.

My hair loss is much less (Norwood 2.5ish), and I've been quoted between 2000 and 2800, so it depends what your goal is.

I'd say at least 2000 absolute minimum, but more if you want to restore the full frontal area.

Your goals appear to be mature and not overly aggressive.

I think you woul dbe very happy with 2000 - 2500 in the frontal area.

It appears that you have some loss in the crown?

Can u clarify that a little bit. What kind of treatment? And especially - when. To be honest I am in my early 30s now and want to get this done asap. Don't want to get old and then have it, when it doesn't matter anymore

Yes, I do think so too. I am not to greedy, just want some decent hairline. It doesn't need to be like it was when I was 20.

As for the crown, there is almost no loss, nor would I care too much if there was some. I do care much more though about front, as it makes ur appearance.

Wow, excellent results man. Congrats. I am thinking about doing similar. Our hair loss looked similar, but u were baldier . I read all 5 pages, nice to have such a good feedback, and I am thinking about doing FUE.

Question: How short can u cut ur hair after FUE, how many millimeters that is?
