yeah your right...but intercytex tried and failed. Im not saying thats a reliable indicator that replicel and aderans will fail though, just highley likley.
another thing with HM is, that it does not appeal to the mass market as much due to costs for that reason there will always be a better solution in the works that appeals to the masses... we already know baldness is reversible through drugs in slick bald nw7 scalps, its just a matter of identifying the pathways which allow this to happen.

Propecia in decline?
I was wondering how current hair loss companies would deal with this news about a PGD2 treatment and if Merck would get in on the action because it looks like shit is hitting the fan for Mercks propecia sales:
http://www.examiner.com/article/prop...ness-drug-dive
Meanwhile, the number of plaintiffs who have filed lawsuits against the pharmaceutical giant, alleging "that they have experienced persistent sexual side effects following cessation of treatment with Propecia and/or Proscar [the same drug, finasteride, in a higher dose, to treat enlarged prostate]" has risen significantly.

what i implied there was, what was once very profitable for a company no longer is/will be...

This is not new for today.
Here is a link to an article from last month in the NY Times:
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/07/29/bu...-follicle.html
"“The receptor is already a target for other diseases,” he said. “The exciting aspect is that we can try to use those drugs now being developed to treat male pattern baldness.” About 10 drugs that take aim at the receptor are going through clinical trials to treat allergic diseases, he said."
"The discovery isn’t likely to help men who are already bald. “It would be too much to turn the clock back and reverse very extensive hair loss,” Dr. Tobin said.
But should a treatment based on the discovery come to pass, it could be significant for men who are in the early stages of balding. “You could probably slow the hairs from getting so fine and thin in the first place,” he said. “That would be a breakthrough.” "
Slow hairs from thinning. No "cure", but it could help.
Wonder what companies he is working with? How do you "target" a receptor?
Any how, hope it works and hope it helps, hope it is only two years!
HOPE being the operative word here!

How do you know?? Corporations have been known to FIX things in the past. Just look at the banks, only now they have such a bad reputation all there crimes are coming out. The Doctor says a ''drug could come to market within two years'' so tell me they would have develop and do the necessary testing FDA approval and bring to market within the two year timeframe, hmmm yeah right

I will bet any amount of money against this statement.
Lobbying is perfectly legal in USA and a ton of cash is thrown around by major corporations to suck every penny out of the public for as long as possible. Example; the electric car vs. major oil companys. Or big pharmaceutical companys vs. a cancer cure. They would raise absolute hell because they KNOW they would go out of business. There are many examples and I wouldnt doubt for a second that Merck with their finasteride garbage wouldnt or isnt lobbying already against a proper cure for hairloss.

Lol at you guys buying this BS.
Well, at least Norwood 0.5 men will be able to look like Norwood 0 again.
Cotsarelis, what a genius. This guy can rack up money like a champ.

Nobody is hiding the cure for hair loss, research into hair loss has been going on for decades.
Examples about bankers and economic hit-men have been used in arguments about corporations trying to hide the cure for cancer.

Yup, we need something for the higher Norwoods to even think of calling it a cure, I said this that journalists will lie and bend the truth to get more readers, they all work toward targets and are desperate to hit them.
I will look forward to Aderans' results next Feb and their talk in October, because in all honesty if they can get 70% and combine with a hair transplant to give you a NW2 - THAT is a cure! As it brings you to a state in which you are no longer worried about hair loss, PGD2 treatment wont bring that, it will only help some lower Norwoods SLOW their hair loss.
