    Default Tired of my hair

I made a post in April or so because I was worried about my hair"line" having a little dent in it but i've gotten over that as i've found that it's normal in a lot of people. Honestly I hate my hair. I must have got the genes from my mom's side for where your starts because mine starts really far back on my head (from the front it looks like I have a big forehead, then from the side as well it's far back). I've been a NW2 since...8th grade really. My hair is also really thin and there's a cowlick on the right side of my hairline, as I don't have a hard enough time trying to make it look semi-decent and flow in one direction. It literally curls backwards parallel with where the bald spots are for NW2 are so it doesn't even cover that area up. Scumbag hair right? When I'm at home I scruff it up and pull it backwards and just do whatever because I couldn't care how it looks anymore. I honestly can't wait until I'm like 20~21 to shave it off because I'm a junior in highschool next year and it's not really socially acceptable (because I look like I am bald with a buzzcut). MPB dominates all the males in my family so it will be hitting me at some point or another but seriously I hate my hair.

I haven't tried anything yet, I'm turning 17 in September. My dermatologist said I should consult her at like 20 or so if I notice anything

Yes, you are to young to start the BIG 3. You should start eating healthier, add more fruits and vegetables into your diet. Start taking natural biotin 10,000mcg from natrol. Apply emu oil every other day, do more research in how to prevent hair loss naturally. Are you currently experiencing hair loss?

EDIT: Don't forget to always stay positive.

I don't think I'll be that different but that was pretty funny

Is there a different shampoo I should use? Anything I can rub in my hair? What would be some good supplements to try? I can only get stuff that a teenager can get his hands on

You’re young so don’t rush into taking any medication. You might still have a decent amount of hair at 20, and if you are still good with shaving your head, you should try that out first. Post some pictures of your hairline and crown. It’s probably not as bad as you think. Dex89 gave you some good advice too. Stay positive, you’ll be fine.

Alrighty, you can look at my other post for pics in April but here's right now.

I haven't showered today so it looks greasy

And like seriously it's just annoying being at school. I haven't met a single person with as bad as a hairline or receding as me. Buzzcut I look like a 30 year old man. No joke.

Doesn't look to bad man. If it's any consolation I was 17 when I turned into a NW1 i'm now a stable NW3 at 20(only recently started on proscar a couple months ago) but I was gradually losing my hair for the past 3 years.

My reccomendation is to go on minoxidil and if you'd like Nizoral as well(just split days between the two) being as you're a little young I wouldn't reccomend propecia just yet.

Monitor it for another year as being as your only 16-17 your body is still maturing so I wouldn't want to mess with that too much. In grade 12(when you're around 18) and if the hair is getting noticeably worse then I'd reccomend propecia/the big 3(which is Minoxidil, Nizoral and Propecia)

you really can't do much right now because your to young. Just stay positive and once your at that age. 18, you can start using minoxidl, nizoral, folligen, spiro, and RU. which as had positive affects on people. Idk about propecia at age 18, I heard you have to be 21 but not sure. Just be aware that these products are going to make you shed but that is a normal process, shedding just means it's working. Number one rule buddy, ALWAYS STAY POSITIVE.
