    Replacing Propecia with Rogaine

    Hi,

I am in the process of slowly getting off Propecia. I haven't had any side effects but feeling pretty scared about the thought of potential irreversible side effects.

Any thoughts on starting to use Rogaine as I slowly wean off Propecia? If Rogaine works for me do you think it can help save any hair that I gained with Propecia?

    Thanks.

Rogaine is not a replacement for Propecia. Rogaine and Propecia do two completely different things. Between the two, Propecia is much better at doing it's job than Rogaine is at doing it's job.

Dutasteride is sometimes a suitable replacement for Propecia, but the probability if experiencing the possible negative side effects of Dutasterde is greater than that of Finasteride.
