What is this shedding on Propecia and Rogaine everyone is talking about?

So I started these about a month ago and I keep seeing threads about shedding. I haven't really noticed any is that normal? In the shower I can run my hands through my hair and get maybe 7-10 strands of hair.

With shedding are people getting like handfuls or what exactly is it? If you use a fine tooth comb during shedding is it like covering the comb like if you were to comb a shedding dog or cat?

Not everyone will experience the shedding, but most will. The degree of shedding can vary from person to person as well. The important thing is to ride out the shedding when it starts. Stopping treatment because of shedding is a very big mistake that will likely leave you much worse off than you were before you started treatment.
