Post Vitamin-Boosted Stem Cells Show Promise in Curing Baldness

A super-active form of Vitamin D boosts the capacity of stem cells to enhance and maintain their ability to induce hair growth, a team of Japanese researchers concluded in a study that could someday lead to a cell therapy for human baldness.

why are they wasting time with this obscure crap... yeah super vitamin D, that's the cause of MPB.

seriously, I read an article where they tried analyzing "wolfman-type" people's genetics to find which genes caused such hair growth and then somehow apply it to people with MPB.... are you ****ing serious?

the cure for AA is a simple vaccination that removes androgen receptors from your scalp.... they're not needed there anyways. Just like wisdom teeth removal, circumcision and tonsil removal fixes human flaws, removing AR will fix another flaw - baldness. This is logic 101

The study states that a form of Vitamin D may enhance the ability of stem cells to produce hair growth; it doesn't claim that a form of Vitamin D (or the lack thereof) is a "cause" of MPB. Those are two vastly different things.

Just read a paragraph from the full study that made me think of replicel.

It states that pre-treating cultured DP cells with Vitamin D3, dramatically increased the ability to produce cell.

As far as we know, replicel are inject only the cells, absolutely nothing else.
Is something like this the key they might be missing?

I don't see why this Vitamin D3 treatment couldn't be tried to regrow hair RIGHT AWAY. We all know that there are plenty of dormant follicular stem cells even in bald people. These stem cells just need to be kickstarted to produce hair again, and who knows, maybe injections of Vitamin D3 could help stimulate hair growth. Since Vitamin D3 is all-natural, and injections of it would be non-invasive, treatments with Vitamin D3 could be started right away. We just need doctors to simply try stuff like this and not just focus on hair transplants, and hair transplants only.

d3 is widely available for years, BUT if it alone could regrow hair - that would be very well known, right?

But maybe vitamin VD3 is what we need? Thats used in the study.

    (these descriptions can be deceiving)

    Someone should investigate this thoroughly.

Oral D3 would be very different to soaking your DP cells in D3 for 72 hours. Even injecting D3 into your scalp wouldnt be the same. In this study, those DP cells are getting VD3 CONSTANTLY for 72 hours.

Oral VD3 will do nothing. Replicel and ARI might be interested though. But I get the feeling they're all stubborn.

How hard would it be for replicel to culture cells and try storing them in VD3 for 3 days? Probably not hard at all...
