Default Should i quit? Advice needed

Hi guys, Im new to the forum and just wanted to ask a quick question. Im a 24yr old guy and have been on propecia for the last 6 months. Unfortunately think Iv been experiencing sides, nothing too major but erections not quite what they used to be and watery semen. Anyway i was going to go from 1mg to 0.5/day to see if that helped, but with this latest wave of anti-propecia news im now not sure. Am i increasing my chances of suffering long term sides my staying on the drug, even at a lower dose? is it safer just to stop completely?
    thanks very much

Talk to your doctor about quiting. I say quit it but I am not a doctor. I use ERT Ejaculation Rythem Technique (It essentially does the same thing). Once every two weeks no more.

If you decide to come off it, I'd suggest you wean off it gradually. There's no exact science regarding specific dosage and duration, but a few weeks at 0.75mg, then 0.5mg and so on, would be a good bet I think.

Have you seen any results? It all really boils down to what you are willing to tolerate in order to save your hair. Personally I started taking proscar last week and I have the mind set that yes the side effects are real and I am willing to deal with a mild decrease in libido and erection strength, but I would definitely call it quits if I got gynecomastia. It's risk vs reward. As far as the latest studies go, there hasn't been a legitimate research study yet to conclusively say that the side effects are irreversible in a significant percentage of men. The George Washington University research study that everyone is raving about is really a horrible study. The number of subjects were just too small, and there are so many variables/confounding factors that probably went unaccounted for. You have to remember there are millions of people on this medication. I'm sure with positive results, a number of them are willing to overlook some of the side effects.
