Dr. Lindsey 1350 grafts revision on black male’s hairline at 14 months, McLean VA

This fellow travelled to see me last spring. He’d had a 900 graft strip done by a reputable hair surgeon a few years earlier and was disappointed with the results. We discussed strip vs FUE and he chose a strip case. We excised his old scar, and did a 3 layer trichophytic closure, obtaining 1350 grafts which were placed as shown. As is common, with his dark skin and very curly hair….the exposed dermis (undersurface of the skin) is seen as very white in the end of case pics. He sent pics in at 2.5 and 3.5 months which are shown. He really didn’t show much growth until about 10 months out and his 14 month picture is shown. Its not of great quality but illustrates a nice outcome. At 1 year, he was inquiring about additional work, but when he sent the last picture I suggested that he hold tight, just in case he loses posterior hair with further MPB.
