Default Histogen / free ice cream

Hey everyone Ive got a question on my mind and Ive never seen it addressed before. maybe I font frequent the forum enough, who knows.

Here goes. Bear with me as I will toss around some terms that probably aren't right.

for the sake of argument lets just say that hsc will not give results on any bare skin. If you had a ht to add hair to previously bald spots would that somehow create a more hsc" friendly" environment (the roots of the new ht hair, derma cells, stem cells and so on) so that even though hsc would have no effect on a bald skin it would if all you did was have a traditional ht to (sod the lawn basically)

Im sorry if my question isnt very clear to understand.
if hsc does not work on slick spots, and having an ht to sod the fields so to speak before then having hsc wont it be useless on all higher nw's?

    this is a scary thought.

I guess the same question applies to replicel. Doc Z can weigh in on this?

Yes I personally believe so... because the active stem cells that come along with the transplanted hairs will receive signals to (1) grow new hair follicles and (2) grow more hairs per follicular unit.

I believe some clinic should conduct a small trial into how HSC impacts transplanted hair follicles, Dr Ziering could do this.

Also - I am always wondering how these potential treatments would work in tandem... such as an autologous cell therapy combined with Histogens HSC... what kind of impact would HSC have had on Replicels phase 1 results if it was used in the trial? (I know its defeating the whole purpose of knowing if Replicel works, but just for arguments sake say if it was).

    Anyone?

OMG so what a good question right? yay me.

Its too bad most of these trials never want people who have had work done because it might skew the #'s

Im a nw 2.8 to 3. had 2 small ops and not on meds. ops in 07 and no noticeable loss since. I dont think im progressing. if hsc is able to grow me an additional 40 new hairs per cm2 in those areas I think id be happy. I remember reading the initial results were like 50new hairs cm2 in the pilot study?

hopefully guys like UK_ and the rest of you guys who know all whats going on underneath our scalps can theorize about what changes might aid in the "environment" after an ht as in my original question.

p.s. ICE CREAM was just a boobytrap to lure u here. sorry for deceit.

Ice cream is probably as effective a hair loss treatment as anything else currently available.

I think the larger hair count regarding HSC is attributable to 'more hairs per follicular unit' and some vellus hairs turning terminal, I really hope however... that somewhere in those treated areas... SOME new follicles were formed... I know its a long shot but we can only hope.

What we need to do is combine all these therapies Aderans Histogen Replicel Follica Roland Lauster team Tokyo Bimataprost CB RU Fin Minox saw palmetto green tea... EVERYTHING and just create one big syringe - that has to be the cure right there.

wow thats depressing. Im glad if it pans out hsc will be able to help all the men and women entering hair loss at its time of release. But so far there's no evidence that it increases hair count by generating new follicles?. Bummer.

hopefully histogen gives us info on this at their next big update. wow now i even need some ice cream to get out of this downer.
