His words exactly when I was on the phone with him last time we spoke about it: "I'm telling you, back when I was a kid, NOBODY lost their hair before their late twenties to thirties. Well, I can actually remember ONE kid in college, I think he might have gotten too close to some plutonium or something!"

My mom, who has been separated from my Dad for like 10 years now (so have not collaborated on this) made the exact same observation. For those of you younger guys who are curious, ask your parents the same thing and see what they say.

Now, 8 of my 10 closest friends from college, including myself, are all suffering from some degree of hair loss. All of us started before or around the age of 20. The levels of severity are much different between us, but still, 8/10!

I am 24, and now work with mostly middle-aged individuals. I would honestly say that >80% of those individuals have either no hair loss or significantly more hair than myself. I am a NW 3. Of the <30-year-olds I work with, 3/7 are balding and one of them is a 20 year old FEMALE!2

Anecdotal, I know. But a real-life observation none-the-less.
It's diet and lifestyle. I am the first balding guy in my family on both sides of my family. We have the balding gene but they all express in their 40s 50s.

Diet, porn, lack of exercise all these factors change DHT levels to some degree and that could be a good trigger. In fact, there is a experiment where they injected DHT to some dude who had the balding gene. I think they was eunuchs who did not start the balding process. After they injected it, he was ****ed. They stopped injecting, still the MPB was progressing, it already "kicked in".

I think follicles have a threshold in terms of DHT and other hormones if you go above Or REACH the balance of hormones needed, then MPB kicks in and you're ****ed.

You may be right Histogen might work on slick bald areas.

If I were you and if you have a good donor, I would go to Gho.
Last I heard he is treating nw6 Dean Saunders.

I firmly believe it works to a good degree. You can get Sneijder's hairs at the very least.
Ohh, I'm fine razor shaving. I must have the head for it or something, because it hasn't seemed to hold me back too much. Not to mention, I don't have that kind of money to throw around right now anyway. Gho sounds awesome though. It seems like there is more and more evidence everyday. It's definitely comforting knowing that even if Histogen doesn't pan out (like is also possible), there will always be this Gho stuff going on. And I'm starting a new job this fall, so the future is good.

Now, you can't do Gho because of the donor issue, right? You have AA or something? That sucks, dude. But between Histogen, Aderans, Replicel (I know, weird to still be a bit of a beleiver, but I am), and all the topicals coming out, I'm sure something there will help.

Nah I can go to Gho, I thought I did have DUPA/AA though. Huge relief and made me appreciate my norwood 2-3. That's why I don't mind buzzing it.

Funny months ago I was bitching about norwood 2-3. Now I don't give a ****.

Something we agree on

My theory: By far the largest contributing factor is the sickening abundance of polyunsaturated fats (PUFA's) in the westernized (now globalizing) diet. Look at the ingredient list on virtually every processed or processed-ingredient-containing food item in your super market. What's in common? Likely PUFA's (soybean, canola, corn, rapeseed etc. oils)!

Check out www.dannyroddy.com and consider his "Hair Like a Fox" guide. I think he has a "Quick-Start-Guide" that's free on his website, which will tell you all you need to know. If you want to get hardcore, as well as understand his reasoning behind the claims, buy the actual guide.

Just FYI for those who have not been exposed to this.

It may seem radical at first, but I can say I've largely halted hair loss since following most of his protocols (particularly PUFA avoidance).

This is the culprit.

And 49 dollars for his guide!

Between some people saying Gho works for sure and some people saying that the jury is still out, I don't know what to think. But if Gho is doing what he says, that's basically a cure. I think it would be a huge comfort to many "naysayers" if they knew that time and money were the only thing between them and a head of hair.

How do we know if the earlier date is for real?

A bit off question, but somebody mentioned it.

I jerk off EVERY DAY, sometimes up to 3-4 times. I have a girlfriend and I also do her almost each night - that (jerking) is probably related to increase od DHT right?

Come to think about it, I've jerked since 1999.
Thats approx. 10 000 jerk offs.

Do you think I can make a difference by completely stopping jerking off?
(I'm gonna try it nevertheless)

Ps.
I'm still on toco, soy + capsaicin + green tea + saw palmetto + beer yeast + Thermascalp topical regimen.

But to be honest - I don't see some change... Still, it's been less than 6 months on most of these ingredients.

But I'm definitely stopping jerking.
Now.
