    The Last Bald Generation?

    And so it begins...

Surely it won't be long now. $h!ts about to get all Gattaca. If I ever have kids I'd ensure I don't pass on the gene for mpb. I welcome this technology.

This doesn't prevent disease. It just tells you what diseases your child may have and gender it's gender. Are you telling me your going to abort a baby because it could have mpb. If so, all I can say is wow.

If the treatments in the pipeline work half as well as advertised then this is the last bald generation. Anyone who notices thinning will get CB, Histogen, etc and save their hair.

Yea the whole thing seems a bit creepy to me. If you knew the child would have some horrible disease and would not live very long would be the only way I would feel comfortable doing something like that.

Tongue in cheek. Was a reading about prenatal screening on a sci fi forum and watched Gattaca the other day. I see no one bit.

Thought maybe we'd see Highlander or Scorpion in the thread.

I don't think so to be honest. There will be many that won't have the financial resource or don't care about hairloss.

                    Here's the real cure:

Dude, I'm trollin. I didn't read the article. Was a link from another forum and I went with it. Does it say that?...But to answer your question, would I abort the baby if it had the mpb gene?...Yes of course.

Will it be part of Obama's healthcare plan?

Scientists Develop Alternative to Gene Therapy

Scientists at The Scripps Research Institute have discovered a surprisingly simple and safe method to disrupt specific genes within cells. The scientists highlighted the medical potential of the new technique by demonstrating its use as a safer alternative to an experimental gene therapy against HIV infection.
