The best shampoo and conditioner to use regardless of the type of hair you have is a good quality sulfate free shampoo and conditioner. If you are treating your thinning hair, it is also a good idea to use Nizoral (either 1% or 2%) once a week. Avoid wasting your money on the expensive gimmick shampoos such as Revivigen, Nisum, Nioxin, Bosley Professional and crap like that.

Have you heard of Regenepure shampoo and if so What do you think of it? It does contain the same active ingredient as Nizoral, not sure of the % but without all the other harsh inactive ingredients. Here is the site if you want to look...

You mentioned this the other day. I don't think it is worth the high price. They do not state the percentage of Ketoconazole that is in it. It can't be more than 1% though because a script is needed to get higher than 1%.

As long as a person uses sulfate free shampoo and conditioner for their regular washing and only uses Nizoral once per week, the exposure to sulfates is insignificant. So no. I do not feel Regenepure is worth the high price. I wouldn't buy it, therefore I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else.

Nizoral 2% does need a script in the states like Tracy said but if you buy the over the counter 1% at Walmart it is like 14.USD and at Walgreens it's 15.USD If you have medical insurance with a prescription plan it may be covered in the generic version.
