Your right about hair follicles being further below skin, but not by that much. And even so, a penetrating substance could be used to get these hair follicle stem cells to penetrate deeper into the skin. For instance, I remember years ago people who were using di-methyl sulfoxide (DMSO) to allow minoxidil to penetrate deeper into the skin. I really don't think that penetration is the issue. I remember once Dr. Cotsarelis even saying that even elements of DNA and RNA could penetrate deep into the body through the skin when using the right penetrating substance (I think it was some type of liposomal peptide). What we really need now is for a scientist to test this on humans and not continue to tinker around with mice. This procedure produced alarming and amazing results and didn't even need clinical trials, or maybe clinical trials were conducted, I'm not sure. We need this kind of stuff being tried for hair regrowth NOW.
