    Propecia and facial/body hair

A question regarding Propecia for those who have taken it--
Will it decrease the amount of facial hair and body hair that I have?? Lighten it?? I've read about a decrease in body hair, but I wasn't sure about facial hair. I'd hate to lose my beard in an attempt to regrow the hair on my head...

    Thanks!

Some people report this. I personally have noticed no change in body or beard hair after almost 2 years.
Maybe if you lose your beard and regrow your scalp, you can transplant from your head to your face.
But seriously, the chances of losing noticeable amounts of hair below the scalp are too slim for you to be worrying about.

I could afford to lose body hair but I love my facial hair. It's one of those cruel ironic things where I'm hairy everywhere but my head.

      Thanks again

I have had a few patients over the years report a reduction in body hair including the back which is a good thing, but never a decrease in beard hair or density.

I had a very slight reduction in leg hair when I used it but hardly if at all noticeable, and no less facial hair

Well I shave my facial hair completely clean off so this would be a pretty good side effect if it was true. But no, I have not noticed any decrease in facial or body hair. Actually I went from having to shave every once a week, to now I pretty much have to shave every 3 days, but I can get a bit lazy and just let it ride out for the whole week regardless.

I have finer and a bit lighter hair on my legs now than I did before I started taking propecia. No change in facial hair what so ever.

How long were you guys taking it before you started seeing the changes?
