A question to guys with significant hairloss

    - High norwoods with bald patches or thinning hair.

When you started going noticeably bald, were you shedding a lot, if so how many hairs?

And what other visible signs were there aside from your hair getting thinner?

Well I am somewhere between a 2 and 3 in front and getting a spot in back..

Front was too long ago so I can't remember. But here is what I remember about vertex/crown:

Lots of shedding in bathroom. There was no mistaking it- I never counted but it was a lot. Started getting a terrible itch along with sores. Sex drive went through the roof for about 3 months. That shampoo everyone here pushes did nothing. It was Fin that stopped the itch and sores.

Went through the same thing, though not quite as bad a few months ago when my Dr put me on hormonal medication. I was told that one side effect of my medication is increased in DHT.

What caused the shedding - fin?

No, my vertex mpb was aggressive in the beginning and I was losing a lot of hair in a short period of time.. Yes I did go through a bunch of fin sheds too but that is normal.

Yes it was coming from crown area. It was aggressive and it took FIN to stop it.

Most of my loss has very very gradual though. For the second time it was aggressive recently and I believe that was due to hormone therapy my Dr put me on.

MPB can you have a look at my hairline - and tell me what you think:

I am worried about my hairline area.

This was my hair this time last year (2011):

Would you say that my hairloss has stabalized for now?

Honestly I can't see a problem but that could be due to the pics being grainy.
Just keep an eye on both the front and back and start taking pics with a better camera. Take then once every month or so . MPB is normally gradually so the pics are the best way to see if something is happening. You asked about sudden loss today. Well that was my crown , but my hairline was so slow that it took awhile before I was sure..hence the need for photos..
