that's BS. My diet was pretty good yet I've started to bald at nearly the same age as the person whom I inherited this gene.
As I said: average person's diet wasn't that terrible up until the last 40 years, but yet people were balding at the same rate 100 200 2000 years ago....

Progress report
Switched to a diet of mainly processed junk food about 6-7 weeks ago. Primary staples are pizza, Cocoa Puffs and chicken nuggets.
Definitely shedding less now. I get far fewer hairs on my hands in the shower.
Hair overall looks a bit more lustrous than when I was eating (apparently too many) vegetables, fruits, fish, etc.
Will update again in 30 days.

Basically I'm saying correlation isn't cause. Everything I wrote was actually true. My shedding is drastically reduced even though I've been mostly eating crap for weeks. And I could say that all the processed food is helping my hair.... but more likely I just came to the end of a seasonal shed, or a med shed, or maybe it's just that I stopped using sulfate shampoos/soaps again.
My other point was that if my shedding can drop by 2/3 or more while living on fast food, kids' cereal and tv dinners, I wouldn't expect dietary changes to have a noticeable impact on our hair loss either way.
(Unless I'm really onto something here with this diet)
