Wink Here's an idea ... TOPICAL Fin or Flut

Why not use topical fin instead of oral? i know it gets systemically absorbed but side effects would most likely be local which means our junk would be safe, and wouldnt it also concentrate the area that recieves the therapeutic effect?
    Here's some food for thought

I know a guy, who posted his experience with topical dutasteride. It apparently works. In many regards, it would better than oral DHT-blockers, especially when dissolved in minoxidil. You could apply it only on places, where you don't have success with minoxidil alone. The recommended concentration is usually 0.1% for finasteride and 0.05% for dutasteride.

How would one go about dissolving the fin? Sounds like you need some background as a chemist or something Or is it easily done?

Johny.track131; Thanks, I will likely try this regimine. Having researched it more, there seems to no incidence of sides from the fin applied topically.

and in your research, what do you think of its effectiveness? always better to have more than one person conduct their own research

Admittedly I feel I jumped to conclusions in my previous post, having only studied the links you provided in the OP.

Having done a great deal more research, and after looking at differing studies, there seem to be a disparity of reports regarding the effectiveness of finasteride used as a topical treatment.

The general consensus, in light of contradictory statements regarding efficacy, sides, etc, seems to remain that finasteride used as a topical may or may not be used as a viable treatment to combat androgenic alopecia. i.e. we just don't know .

I think in these trials the fin has turned out to be systemically absorbed when applied topically anyway.

So when studies are published that have results similar to fin tablets, it may just be that it's because the patient still ends up with fin in the bloodstream, it just gets there via a different part of the body.

I have never seen a study that showed topical results as good or better than tablets, but didn't have systemic absorption. Has anyone else?

I used Dr. Lee's 6% minoxidil with finasteride and found it was no more effective than regular Rogaine.
