Laser Comb.. worth the punt? UK residents (especially) go for this!
Hello guys! Hope you are all well and the fight against MPB is going well for you.
I have been taking propecia (Fin) 1mg since last year (7th July 2011) and I dont think I have seen any growth.. but loss has stopped dramatically.
I just wanted to share this with people... I came across a website who do laser comb with a 6 month money back guarantee. I am not sure whether these laser combs perform well in the real world. The before and after pictures say a lot...
These are really expensive machines, but since guarantee is there.. I thought lets do it!
I have not been able to post up until now..
I opted for the HairMax LaserComb Advanced 7 which costs £245 on the 16th April from peak-nutrition.

I am doing a journal too: http://www.baldtruthtalk.com/showthread.php?t=5501 (Please look at all the photos and tell me whether you see improvement!? Thanks)
Will be updating this a lot more often now with photos.
ANYONE: Any stories about using laser comb and effectiveness please! Thanks.

Hi There,
I have been using a 21 defused spot Low Level Laser Unit for the last 2 Months, that I Purchased from a Company called 'Laser Gain'.
I use It every 2nd Day for around 15 minutes!
Some Friends & Family People have commented that My Thinning Hair is looking a lot thicker & the Crown appears to be shrinking.
This isn't a Comb but, a powered Hand held Unit.
You'll see what I mean below...

Why would You say Fake?
Because the FDA didn't Approve it?
The FDA Approves the Hairmax Laser Comb & That only uses ONE Class 3R Laser
(650nm by 5mn) reflecting off little mirrors to produce "Nine" beams of Light.
The Laser Gain Unit uses 21 Class 3R Lasers (650nm by 5mn) with NO Mirrors.

Um... You need to make sure what you are telling people here is true. I purchased the nine laser unit over four years ago. It actually has nine lazers in it. No mirrors. The device shown in the link you provided to debunk the Hairmax does not look like a real Hairmax laser comb.

I've been using the nine laser Hairmax laser comb for over four years. I feel it does help. During the first six months of treating my hair loss, I used only the laser comb and almost everyone around me noticed the improvement. My sister even purchsed one for herself after she saw how much it was helping me. She has also seen improvement. Both of our laser combs actually have nine lasers in them. No mirrors.

What is so Wrong with the Unit that I am using?
We Both are using a LLLT Unit with at least One 650 nanometers by 5 milliwatts Class 3R Laser. It's just the Unit I'm using has 21 Lasers & not approved by the FDA.

Hi yecats,
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with the device you are using. Thus far the only thing I know about that unit is the company selling it is using false information about the FDA cleared device as a selling point for their own non-FDA cleared device. If their device actually is a good device, there would be no need to lie about another company's device.
Don't take it personally. This is about being truthful. You stated that the Hairmax laser comb uses mirrors to divide one laser beam into nine beams. That is not true. That is a lie. It does not matter that you got that false information from somewhere else. What matters is you are attempting to pass on that false information as if it were true.
Be more careful about what you say. Do your best to make sure what you say is true.
Take care,
Tracy

Dr Representative
After not only personal experience with laser and discussed laser comb/hood WITH 1000's guys over the years who too have 'experimented" with laser - you might as well flush it down the loo. Sorry but its the fact of the matter laser in my honest opinion is BS.

My thinking is (or was) in line with what spex says, but I have spoken with some people who swear they've seen some results with continuous, regular use of lasers.
I still wouldn't recommend anyone go out and buy one (or pay money to a clinic for using theirs) but I must admit I'm less quick to dismiss them than I used to be.
