Actually, it looks diffuse in both the before and after photos. So there is no need to take that as a bad sign. It's the difference in hair length that throws off the comparison.
It sounds like you are only using Rogaine foam once a day. If so, taper up to twice a day for the next year while you are taking Propecia. How often are you using 2% Nizoral? Make sure you are not using it more than twice per week.

Yeah, I was using Nizoral incorrectly for the longest time. Was using it daily, and then wasn't properly applying it into my scalp. Applied it properly and let it sink into the scalp. I can see it's made a good difference already with respect to the flakes.
As for using Rogaine twice/day, I'm not a big fan of how the hair looks/feels after it has dried off.
The thing I'm most worried about diffuse thinning is, it seems like it doesn't fall into any specific Norwood pattern. I'm hoping a HT surgeon won't find myself as a good candidate for a future procedure.

I really think there should be a diffuse hairloss classification on the Norwood scale. It's common enough to warrant it so it's a bit of an oversight really.
