I have found some older pictures from 2009, seems like my hair hasn't changed much since then (hair is longer here) - flash:

But yeah, I am not sure.

Thanks man, why does it seem thin around the corner?

I would say that it appears to be your natural whorl pattern (which we all have) being accentuated by the light. If it's the first time you've seen this for yourself, then it may seem to be thinning, but in all likelyhood it has always been like this. I'm not an expert but I would say you have nothing to worry about. If you want to be really cautious, maybe keep reference of these pictures and take annual update shots as a means of comparison.

Last time I saw this was in 2009. So, yeah maybe you are right given that there has been no change since then.

Here is a pic from 2009, where my hair was wet and was paying attention to my hair:

So I guess that because it is shorter, more visible.

I'd say so, that sounds reasonable.

yeahyeahyeah aren't you a regular poster on here?

To me it looks like your not even losing your hair. There are no signs of loss :S

                Are you just panicking?

If your hair is falling out you would no. When you wash your hair your have a lot of hairs on your hans afterwards. Also your notice a lot more hair on the pillow in the morning. Also hair will be weaker, if you can pull you hair out easily with no pain then your probably losing your hair.

                  My hairline has 'matured' sausage.

Since then, I guess I have been paranoid that it may receed more, or I may develop crown hairloss.

I lose about 20 strands in the shower, don't shed much, especially since starting toco-8 btw.

I don't even think you have hair loss, man. I think your a victim of a mature hairline freakout. My advice is to keep an eye on it and go live your life.

What does a thinning crown in its earliest stages look like?

again....you would know if your hair was falling out your crown. Try pulling a single strand out, if its easy then your possibly balding if it really hurts then you hair is strong and ur hair is probably fine.

When my hairline started maturing, I started looking at my hair obsessively and when I noticed my "whirl" I started freaking out. It looked just like yours looks now. Anyway, I was 19 then. I am almost 35 now and it looks exactly the same. Seriously, don't waste your life worrying about it like I did.

                              Interesting. Yeah it hurts.

When you are balding, do you shed really easily , like 100s of hair a day visibly. how much hair do you shed?

                              Curious.
