No; (in addition to what gc83uk said), how in your mind is a hair transplant really any different? Moving follicles from the back of the head to the front could in many ways be liked to creating new follicles and placing it on the front of your head. They are similar in that both transplants and this method involving placing hair where there once was none.

Since none of the current crop of companies have proven that they can consistently revive dormant follicles (YET!) This is helpful because it is an additional piece of research about hair loss. Every discovery that adds to the knowledge is in some way useful. Plus as gc83uk mentioned not everyone has MPB related hair loss.

Well at least they didn't say it was 5 years away, I would have lost my mind.

          Just a decade.

"Scientists in Japan have given hope to bald heads everywhere. They've successfully grown hair on hairless mice, making the cure for baldness possible in as little as the next three years."

3 years now? This has to be good news, it's not 5, or 10.

it looks promising , i wish they make it quick and not spread the research all over a decade.one site says that it is within 3 years but some say that it is in 5-10 years.
it seems we have got another solid hope for future besides replicel, hopefully we are approaching to the end of baldness.

Did they have terminal hairs growing on mice a century ago also? You can't deny progress.

how is this different from what Replicel is doing? If this Japanese crap worked, then Replicel should work as well

Yes, just like the "Japanese crap," Replicel's treatment will also grow hair on mice.
