This woman had been treated with surgery and radiation ten years prior to coming to us. The surgical scar ran side to side and the skin was hardened and thinned from the radiation treatment. Because the scarring and radiation would be expected to lower graft survival, a relatively conservative hair transplant was performed consisting of 1684 grafts (4307 hairs). The growth was surprisingly good, except for a quarter sized area near the front. The photos were taken at the time of a second small procedure to add some density.
