Why I post

I believe there is a misconception about why I have been posting for the last 14 years. These comments about me being bitter and angry seem to pop up a lot. I can assure you that is hardly the case. I rarely mention the doctors of my past as that really doesn’t matter anymore and to be honest I was partly to blame for the poor decisions. Of course I wish I would have had more sense and understood how the business world operates but most 20 something’s are completely clueless so I know longer feel guilty about it.


What does bother me is seeing some of the same type of business practices used in the past still being used but in a different form. I think many in this business fear the truth because they feel they will not be able to sell the procedure. Then they end up suing the patient to keep them quiet or simply attack them when the patient’s expectations fall short.


To be brutally honest I feel like I’m watching over a school yard knowing there are predators lurking about. I can’t simply plop my ass on the couch, turn on the TV and pretend it’s not going on. That is just not the type of person I am. This has absolutely nothing to do with being bitter and angry and has to do with taking the time to do the right thing.


I am not trying to sabotage anyone’s right to make a living. I hope you all get rich just do it honestly and ethically.

The value of this forum is all the contributors including you. If we all agreed or had a one sided view of HT and the industry, this place could be replaced with a 1 page note.

Your experience is valuable to many, and agree with you that like 10 years ago (or when ever the change came) where plugs and small graft procedures were changed by the top docs into mega HT strip sessions with 3500+ to take you to NW1 or NW2 in one - the industry is slowly changing again with FUE mega sessions and maybe new ways in the horizon.

Unfortunately the industry is still not transparent and you still have the Bosleys and other bad clinics...

I for one like the discussions - and personally learned a lot on this forum by reading the discussions...

Still researching thanks for the reply. I’m not speaking so much in regards to technique as each technique has its benefits and results often speak for themselves. I’m referring to what people believe just because someone that works in the industry says it’s true.


People need to start understanding organizations more often than not become corrupt over time and greed soon takes over. Good examples would be The American Cancer Society and The American Heart Association. These organizations are corrupt from top to bottom because the amounts of money being made are huge. These outfits than just become mouth pieces for those behind the scenes controlling the levers and switches. The hair loss industry is no different. This is what 20 something’s do not understand. More often than not the information one is being fed has more to do with lining someone’s pockets than it does to help you the person reading it. If we look at the majority of people they believe these authority figures and organizations and what they preach as if it were the gospel. How much do you think its worth to have The American Heart Association’s stamp of approval on your product? Who helps to sponsor The American Dietetic Association, Coca Cola and Pepsi? Why in the world would they want to give money to an organization that is about promoting a healthy diet? Wake up boys and girls.


But you see here’s the thing. These same business practices will come back to bite these people in the hair loss industry in the ass. As the saying goes what goes around comes around. When they are dealing with their own issues in the future whether personal or a family member and they need to depend on information from so called experts they will be a victim of the same system they help perpetuate. When their parent has cancer or whatever disease and the goal of those in who they seek counsel in mainly monetary they will understand as they become the victim.


You have to seek out people that are very trustworthy and of are high moral character because it matters. I keep hearing about those that advise picking off a recommended list. Let’s take a look at the recommended list on that other site. You have person associated with its formation that thinks its okay to post his own personal fetish porn on the internet. I don’t care what people do in their personal life but that is a sign of poor judgment. What is there not to get about that? Let me see a show of hands from those that would choose a brain surgeon that would post his personal home made porn on the internet. Excuse me I think I will pass on that one. Yet look at all the doctors that pay to be on that same list. What exactly does it say about those doctors? How low will they go to get another patient? Do they not have better judgment than that?


These are the types of issues I am referring to and there are many more. You young guys have to realize you don’t know shit. You eat this stuff up on the forums and you don’t realize you are being played. And I know you know it all because I knew it all when I was young too. But now approaching 50 I wish someone would have told me some of this important stuff about how things work. I’m not here to tell you to wash your head gently after your procedure or to be patient as it takes 12 months for see the full results. Plenty of others here that can do that for you. And also understand that many of these posters that like to attack this type of message are not even real people. Go back and search their postings over time and you will see a pattern of offering little to say. This is just how the forums work and you need to understand this in order to understand the information.

I am not saying everyone in this business is completely evil. What I have learned to look for is honest ethical people in every area of my life. A perfect example would be health and nutrition. Try to convince someone that all this crap that is being marketed as far as pills and potions is complete bullshit. They keep asking me what I’m doing yet they still go back to the marketing bullshit. I have learned a hundred times more from small family farmers about nutrition than I could ever learn from reading a fitness magazine. But you see they are honest, hard working and God fearing people. They do it because this is what they love to do and they would never think of selling someone crap so that they could gain. And to be honest there is very little money to be made in what they have to say or sell so you not going to hear about it.


So those that keep commenting bitter and angry are completely clueless. I have gained insight and if anything it has made for an interesting life experience.

It is often hard to find out who is telling the truth because there is always money to be made and in most instance people feel desperate.

You need to step back from the forums away from the individual messages and try to understand what is going on as a whole. Go to the other site with the list and study it. Who is this porno guy? What gives him expertise and credibility. Why do doctors pay him to be on the list. Those doctors have no shame and if they will do that to make a buck what will they do to you. Are you starting to get any of this, is it sinking in at all. Study all the forums and concentrate on the whole.


Become your own expert and that can only take a few years. Sorry it’s not the quick answer or solution you were looking for but it is honest solid advice.
