Bald Patch : Bigger, shiny and Relentless (with pics)
I am 22 year old asian (INDIA) and suffering from MPB. I am currently Norwood 3. Also 7 months before I was suffering from Telogen Effilivium which lasted for 2 months. Scared of getting bald just like my two older brothers who have Horshoe pattern on their scalp, I took the extreme step--> I started Propecia medication. Doctors refused to give me prescription. So I am self-medicating. I am on it for 5 months and currently no side effects so far but also there is no visible improvement so far. I am thining at vertex and totally bald at temples..
My current plan is to give minox a shot after 8 months on finasteride only if there is no visible improvement otherwise I will stay on finasteride.
This will be my thread where I will keep updating every 3 months.
But for now can you please tell me for how long finasteride can maintain my hair.
Do doctors promise a cure for mpb in next five years?
Also I want to fill that gap in vertex, temples are there are any other medications other than propecia and minox?
baldness gene is inherited from whom mostly ? My maternal grandfather was bald but my dad's father not. My dad is not bald.I got my dad's hair same pattern, texture . Does it mean my hair will remain as it is without further progression?
I am more concerned about my vertex, I usually comb over my temple as shown in pic.

It's just a mature hairline bro, every white man develops a big and shiny bald patch in the crown about 10 cm square. It's totally normal.
I'm acting like TracyC would . Just jk.
But yeah you look fine bro, move on enjoy life. Stay away from hell.

Your hair still looks great. I think you’re doing the right thing by treating it early. We don't know when a real cure will be available, but I think if you continue treatment you’ll have most of your hair for quite some time.

Apparently, you don't even bother to pay much attention to what I write. I am offended by that and I am now questioning your reading & comprehension skills. I have put a lot of time and effort into making sure I understand this stuff so I can be the most help I can possibly be. Whether you believe it or not, the only reason I am here is because I want to help.
Anyways, a bald patch in the vertex has nothing to do with the hairline itself. It's a completely different area of the scalp. The OP does have a normal hair line for his race and age but he also has a thin area in his vertex. That thin area could probably use some attention if this bothers the OP.
