I find it hard to believe that it is the residue just because I still have it after I take extensive showers trying to remove all of it. Maybe it is very resistant to soap washings? Previous poster said witch hazel might be able to remove it.

I do want to try switching products however.
I had the same exact problem. I could wash my scalp several times, and stop using Kirkland's for several days, and the flakes were still there. It was not until I completely stopped using it and got on Rogaine that the flakes finally went away. The only thing that could alleviate the itchiness a little bit was Selsun Blue shampoo that my derm recommended to me. I still use the shampoo even now BTW, because my head feels so good after using it.

hey Bromin, was Kirkland's the one you were using?
Remember every body reacts differently to drugs. Cross your fingers that it works well for you. I'm pissed cause Kirklands is so cheap, I bought enough that I basically won't run out in a year. Now I can't use it. While Rogaine, I have to pay $50-60 just for 4. When the hell is Rogaine gonna go down in price. You get what you pay for I guess.
