    Hey Ing,

I'm sorry you have been dealt these cards at such a young age. Have you been diagnosed as having MPB by a dermatologist ? I say that because your hair loss doesn't look like normal MPB, but it may well be.

If it is in fact MPB, are you taking any meds ? You may have some regrowth of hair in the mid section with propecia/Rogaine, but you need to start treatment immediately. You could disguise your hair loss quite well with Toppik and dermatech you know ?

hey thanks for the reply actually i was hoping that it isnt MPB. given that im a very stressful and i dont know why so i was hoping it would be hairloss from stress which gives me more option i assume. I have been to a dermatologist, I mean there are 2 well known hair centers here in sydney ashley and martins and hair studio but as u know they r all just selling propecia and minox at a sophisticated way. So wat should I do and more importantly wat can actually be done right now? Im not even 20 so i assume you can imagine how depressing this actually is.

Sorry to hear man, looks rough. To reiterate what Folly said, I would try to see a hair loss specialist, one who can accurately diagnose what kind of hair loss you have. Doesn't look like typical MPB to me, maybe there's medication that may help you significantly.

Personally, I would get a buzz cut. Try it out, you might love it!

Realy? His pattern looks very typical of MPB to me.

    ing,

If this bothers you, you need to see a doctor who specializes in treating hair loss and talk about getting on proven treatments. At your age you stand a good chance of arresting it and possibly reversing some of it with Propecia and Rogaine. If you are unwilling or unable to use proven treatments, you need to learn how to accept that you will be bald and learn how to live your life to the fullest anyways.

Propecia i wont start since it has just went under investigation of the side effects. As for minox i doubt it will do much and from ur assumptions if i start minox then do i have to apply it forever? Cuz im afraid say the forever waited miracle cure comes out then i would still have to keep applying minox

It would be best for you talk about that with a qualified physician.

It is very important for you to understand that Androgenetic Alopecia (hereditary hairs loss/MPB) does not stop. Once Androgenetic Alopecia has been triggered, it continues for the rest of your life. Therefore it does not matter what you decide to do about your hair loss, you will still need to use whatever that is for the rest of your life - or until a cure for Androgenetic Alopecia is found. That is reality. Whether you want to accept it or not.

In the state that your hair is in right now, Minoxidil alone is not likely going to be enough to help you. You will need both Rogaine and Propecia to gain any appreciable benefit. Low Level Laser Therapy might help once you start growing the peach fuzz. Nizoral shampoo would probably help as well.

That would not likely be true. If the "miracle cure" can actually immunize hair follicles from the damaging effects of DHT, you will not need to continue using Minoxidil. In fact it might even be better for you to slowly go off using Minoxidil.

With all that said, it is important for you to know that there is something you can do right now about your hair loss. If you are unwilling to to do what can be done now, you need to learn how to accept that you will be bald - and learn how to live your life to the fullest anyways.

    Hi Highlander,

Has this been proven to work for MPB ? I'd rather fork out the extra money because i appear to be having a reduced libido from oral propecia.

    Thanks.
