Best shampoo/conditioner/styling products for very fine hair
As the title states, what products work best for your fine hair to give it more volume? I use a Redken shampoo called Densify and it seems to give me a fuller looking head of hair but am wondering if there's anything else out there that I should try.

There are many. Just try a bunch till you find one you like. Personally, I like Aveeno Nourish + Volumize shampoo and conditioner. I also like Progaine.
Another thing you can try is hair fibers. They work reasonably well if you have enough hair to use them.

Less chemicals is better. Not sure if any of the volumizing shampoos are sulfate free.

Hi Dr. Charles,
I have read more than a handful of times that less chemicals is better - but where can one find sulfate-free shampoos and conditioners, much less sulfate-free and volumizing. Aveeno has a sulfate-free shampoo and conditioner available - but they are not volumizing. I do like them - but they are not volumizing.

There are a few out there. One that I know of is Burt's Bees "Very Volumizing Shampoo" :

I've been meaning to try a bottle of this stuff myself. It got pretty good reviews.
The thing with sulfate-free shampoos is that they don't lather like most shampoos, so sometimes you think you're done washing your hair when there might still be some shampoo left. This is why some people claim it leaves their hair "dirty." That shouldn't be an issue as long as you wash your hair thoroughly.

For shampoos, I think it's called "Avalon Biotin Thickening Shampoo". I think it's pretty awesome and it's sulfate free.
