Generic Propecia in US pharmacy
Hey guys. I have looked everywhere and can't find a definitive date this will be available in the US. Does anyone know for sure? Also do we know yet what it will cost?

Anyone know the answer? I've seen 2012 and 2013 given in various parts of the internet and I'm not sure which is correct.

Proscar's patent expired back in 2006.
Propecias patent expires in November 2013.
The difference is that generic finasteride in the 5mg dose is the only dosage you can get generically.

But that will change in November 2013 when the Propecia patent expires, correct?

Correcto. You'll still need a prescription to get it in the USA though.
I'd be curious if Merck will try the same thing Pfizer is with Lipitor. Paying people to keep using Lipitor heh.
