Generic Rogaine Foam
Does anyone know if any stores are carrying generic foam yet? I read that the manufacture has already started shipping to retailers, but I wasn't sure if it's available yet.
-
I see that it officially became available March 1st 2012 but I have not seen it on the shelves yet.

I wonder if this is why Rogaine has a rebate program going on right now.
-
Guess I'll have to start checking the shelves. I'll be so glad to not have to use the liquid anymore, I cant stand that stuff. If anyone finds it in the stores please share.
-
Until you find it, why not get the real deal while the rebate problem is still in effect. The rebate program ends on March 31st 2012. Sure you can only take advantage of the rebate once but that might last you until the generic foam is on the shelves. You can stretch that out longer if you use the foam in the morning and use the generic liquid in the evening. That's what I do. Anyways, here is a link to the rebate form.

Holy cow! That is a lot more expensive than Rogaine foam. Why would anyone buy that?
Guy's just plain don't know how to shop.
-
its cheap in uk as one bottle is three months supply? its £29 in uk? so not that expensive unless you want there natural oral tablets as well then its dearer.

I just returned from shopping and found Walmart has their generic Equate brand Minoxidil foam right next to the name brand Rogaine foam. The price of the 90-day package of generic foam was just under $37.00, which is twice as much as the 90-day package of generic liquid Minoxidil but $9.00 less than the 90-day package of name brand Rogaine foam.
The Rogaine rebate program is still good until 3/31/2012. While the rebate program is still in effect, it makes name brand Rogaine foam less expensive than generic Minoxidil foam for now.

Thanks for the info Tracy! I'm kinda disappointed it is not cheaper. I'm going to have to check out costco and see what their price is.
-
I was also surprised it was not less expensive than it was. Maybe Walmart is just milking the cash cow for now. I would imagine Costco will probably do the same thing with their Kirkland Signature brand. Though Costco may wait to see how well Equate Minoxidil foam does in the market before offering a Kirkland Minoxidil foam product. Let us know what you find.
