hi , Dr Bisanga charges 6 euro per graft for beard, ( if i remember correctly ) its less for standard fue i think

My face at no time was either swollen or red ! the fue extraction sites stayed red for about 3 days ,( the punch used on me was a .8mm manual hand punch ) there very easily hidden as you will have to have a short stubble before the procedure and leave it unshaven afterwards for a few weeks , best thing is to get some beard clippers and style it , so it looks smart , you can edge the beard and shape it on a low blade guard .

I had a few grafts that didnt fall out and kept growing , I still have a few tiny hairs poking through , im told beard takes longer to grow ,moreso in scar tissue

Keep us updated how things go

    all the best

if your refering to the extraction site ,it doesnt grow as its been moved , so theres a tiny mark were its been taken from , hopefully it grows were its been planted !

    hope this helps

if i understand you correctly you have had strip in the past leaving scars and are donor depleted similar to myself . Fue leaves a scar albeit small ,hopefully so small it cant be seen by the naked eye ! hopefully your donor area either beard or scalp can stand the extraction with no noticable difference , somepeople complain of a ` moth eaten ` look if over harvesting of fue has happened , i wouldnt be to worried as it sounds like your having beard hair removed from below the jawline , basically your beard may be a little less dense after , have you met any patients of your Dr who have had this procedure done ? or seen online videos ? they look pretty good

    Default dr umar reply

I sent dr Umar a message , he wrote me back this :I understand your dilemma. Unfortunately, I do not function this way. I will operate when I am availed of the most optimal conditions. For this reason, we as a policy would not book surgery dates until the surgery plan is agreed upon. After my assessment, the optimal donor for you would be head and nape with beard making up for insufficiencies of the former. If your situation would prevent the utilization of these agreed donors, I will suggest to reschedule your surgery or not perform it all together. But as a policy I will avoid taking less than available optimal donors to perform surgery.

if your dillemma is being called back into work I would say fue is the least invasive way of moving forward , I was ok after 1 week socialising , gym etc , I didnt shave down though , style your beard and wear a hat or bandana !

Thumbs up reply to my post of necrotic tissue.

Hi all , i had placed a post about necrotic tissue several weeks back as a reply to someone else post, and then i deleted it, the reason was because Dr Umar which is a fantastic doctor and as far as am concerned a pioneer in his field was being asked all kinds of questions and in no way was i implying he did anything wrong. My necrotic tissue is healing and almost healed. Dr Umar will be placing hairs in the area that got infected at no charge. He had me use Nitro-Bid which stimulates flood flow to the area. Again i was replying to a post and wasn't referring any bad intentions towards Dr. Umar. I will be posting up a picture asap. thanks

I think as more clinics master fue and beard fue it will be pretty much mainstream in a few years as an alternative donor source , that said, there will be allways those better at it than others ,thats why you got put the research in

That is also what I have been wondering, that why so many doctors are against beard to head transplant, whereas beard must be such a great source of donor. I have not done any HT procedure yet, but If I do, I would like to have at least 1/3rd of my grafts coming from beard, so that I preserve my donor area as much as possible. Beard Hair, even it does not match scalp hair that much, can at least act as a natural toppik!
