Is using different companies of minoxidils bad for your hair?

    Hello,

I do not believe using different brands at the same time is bad for you.

I do believe using high percentage Minoxidil is a bad idea. 5% is enough.

Why would you say using 15% is a bad idea though?

Increasing the dose percentage does not necessarily mean it will b more effective - but it does mean you will be more likely to experience the possible negative side effects of the medication.

5% is the highest dose that be legally purchased without a prescription in the U.S.. There is a reason for that.

You are welcome. I have been asking for this topic to be brought up during the radio show. "Joe from Staten Island" asked Spencer on my behalf to talk about it this past Sunday. Here is a link to that show.

This week on The Bald Truth: Spencer Kobren explains to Joe from Staten that he should not worry so much about being criticized on the TBT forum, “it’s just part of the gig.” Joe also sets the record straight about a statement he said regarding Replicel. Brian from LA calls to ask Spencer about using...

He talks about it somewhere around the middle of the show. The bottom line is these higher dose Minoxidil blends are not any more effective but they are more likely to cause side effects. Also, the additional "stuff" that is often blended in can actually be harmful. This is why the FDA has not approved these high dose blends.
