Default remi hair vs. non-remi hair - any experiences?

I recently came across this forum and wanted to put this question out for review. I've been wearing hair for 20 yrs or so and until now have never heard of Remi hair. I did a little research and it appears it's a better option than non-remi. So why do the majority of companies all use non-remi? I believe it's cheaper, but if Remi is better I would expect the better ones to at least offer Remi as an upgrade. What am I missing?

I was thinking about ordering a Remi to try but before I do I was hoping for some input.

I also see that toplace offers it as a standard option.
