Just try a bunch to see if you find one you like. Buy the smallest bottles available until you find the one that works for you.

I've been using quite a few the last months but not very great results.

I've been looking around and I've heard good reviews about the Bumble & Bumble thickening shampoo and the Thicker fuller hair shampoo so I might give one of them ago; but regardless I would like some recommendations of anything better.

I won't talk brands, I'll only mention ingredients..
    Choose a shampoo without SLS.
Some of the good ingredients in a shampoo should include: sage, rosemary, nettle, barley, saw palmetto, lavander, ging seng, tea trea, arginine, caffeine, zinc, vitamin e, grape seeds, olive, green, black or white tea etc.

"The main reason you’d avoid a shampoo containing SLS (MANY shampoos have SLS) would be if you are hypersensitive to it, which I would assume is rare. SLS is added to shampoo to create a lot of bubbles and lather. There were rumors in the ’90s that the small amounts of SLS in shampoos could cause medical problems such as cancer, but that turned out to be false."

"There’s an awful lot of alternative, high priced shampoos now trying to use the “SLS” scare tactic to persuade people to go with their product."

I've heard a ton of stories about Nizoral thickening hair. My hair has def gotten thicker but I don't know if it has been because of the Nizoral or Minoxidil

Fair enough. I haven't tried a bunch because I don't want to put faith in them but I did like Aveeno's Nourish and Volumize. I must admit though that I tend to like Aveeno products in general anyways, so I may be biased.
