So who exactly should I see to get my hair evaluated for MPB? A dermatologist or someone who specializes in MPB?

I'm looking up many of the dermatologists in my area, checking out their websites and such, but it doesn't appear that any really focus on issues around hair loss, specifically MPB. Is this knowledge that all dermatologists have by default? I'm reading that many of you go to dermatologists, so I'm just curious.

In my opinion, it would be better to visit a specialist. Dermatologists deal with wide variety of issues, including hair, but their knowledge, experience etc. is much more limited when compared to someone who only deals with hair loss.

You want to see a doctor who specializes in treating hair loss. Such a doctor is usually a dermatologist - but a dermatologist who specilizes in hair loss. Here is a link to help you find a good one.
