    about fatty foods making you go bald

    my question is, i thought fat upped the rate at which testosterone was converted to estrogen(thus less testosterone left to be converted to dht), so with this in mind im asking you guys, why/how does dht increase with an intake of fatty foods?

    i know i must be missing something, just i dont know how to word it in google so i haven't found an answer, thanks in advance

    Obesity increases the chances of testosterone converting into estrogen, not fat per e'. The human body converts testosterone into these other two hormones in this order; first DHT then estrogen. What that means is unused testosterone that has not already been converted into DHT can be converted into estrogen.

      not all fats are the same ! there are good fats and bad fats..
      saturated processed fats and sugars and junk food I believe will boost your insulin levels sky high, cause inflamation and will boost DHT;

      Here is an interesting article..

      "Fat

      There are various types of fat. Although some fat is required by the body, too much is not good, and it's saturated fats that are especially bad. Saturated fats (mostly derived from red meat, milk, cheese, etc) tend to increase your LDL (bad) cholesterol levels. And cholesterol can be broken down by the body to produce the hormone DHT (which is associated with androgenetic alopecia).

      So, it's easy to see how a junk food diet can make your hair loss worse!

      The most beneficial fats to consume are monounsaturated (e.g., almond, avocado, and olive oils, etc) and polyunsaturated fats.

      Polyunsaturated fats include: Gamma Linolenic Acid (GLA), Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) and Alpha Linolenic Acid (Omega 3). These three types of essential fatty acids are the most powerful 5-Alpha Reductase and DHT blockers known, and so many of those foods that reduce DHT contain these types of fat.

      GLA is found in evening primrose oil, borage (starflower) oil and black currant seed oil. Omega 6 and Omega 3 can be obtained from certain plant oils (e.g., walnuts, pumpkin seeds, rape seed oil, soya). Flax seed (linseed) oil is also very high in Omega 3.

      However, the richest source of Omega 3 comes from oily fish (especially salmon, herring and mackerel) where it exists as EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).

      Note: other Other types of food that reduce DHT include: soya, pumpkin seeds and green tea. "

        Saturated fat is one of the most stable fats out there. Man has been eating saturated fat in its natural form for thousands of years without a problem. Manmade saturated fats are another story. Vegetable oils outside of flax and olive oil are some of the most rancid cancer causing foods out there. When someone cooks with it I can smell it a mile away. It’s cancer on a plate. The fact is saturated fat holds up best when cooking with higher heat which I wouldn’t recommend in the first place. But there is more money to be made in selling cheap rancid oil and having food that can sit on a shelf for what seems to be an eternity. Everything has become about cost and shelf life.

        Man was meant to eat fat in its natural form coupled with protein and not from a concentrated source sitting in a bottle for who knows how long. But for most this seems very normal. Even more frightening now they are using an even cheaper source soy oil and most are completely clueless. The big food processors control the industry and they control the information much like many other industries.

          Man was meant to eat fruits, veggies, nuts, grains.. modern diets are the very opposite of this..
