Default Testosterone therapy and hair loss?

we all know dht is a major culprit with har loss.. that said, if one has low T levels, will testosterone cause hair loss, or does one need to be genetically pre disposed for that to happen?
can testosterone therapy cause hair loss in those not prone to badness?

It’s a two part problem. DHT has been identified as the hormone that triggers hereditary hair loss (androgenic alopecia). People who suffer from hereditary hair loss have inherited hair follicles that are sensitive to the effects of DHT. Some people may have follicles that are more sensitive than others. People who have not inherited hair follicles that are sensitive to DHT generally do not suffer with hereditary hair loss. This is very uncommon though. Most people inherit some hair follicles that are sensitive to DHT to at least some degree.

If a male has low testosterone, that may help in some cases because DHT is made out of testosterone. However, some females suffer from hereditary hair loss as well and females have significantly less testosterone and DHT than males do. So obviously it depends on how sensitive a person’s hair follicles are to DHT.

i guess what im asking is this:
the normalnrange for testosterone is roughly 300 ng to 900 ng.
    1) if someone has a level of 350, will he suffer any additional hairloss by getting his levels to 600 ?
i would think as far a hair loss, a low level of 350 would be enough to cause loss anyway.
2)however, would a 600 level really make that much of a difference?
    3) i guess it seems that if one is 46 years old and has a pretty good head of hair with minimal receding due to age, chances are they dont have the baldness gene?
    4) what puzzles me is most men lose hair due to old age when testosterone levels are at there lowest... so whats the reason for that? it cannot be high dht levels.
