Symptoms when Propecia looses its effectiveness

I've heard that propecia looses it effectiveness over time.
I've been using propecia for 8 years and wanted to find out what are the symptoms which i can tell if propecia is loosing its effectiveness.

I would guess hairloss would be the only symptom. It's not that propecia stops working, it's that your hairloss progresses in severity beyond a point that propecia can control. Propecia lengthens the life cycle of each hairby blocking DHT. The propecia leaflet states that DHT shortens the hairs life cycle. So in reality propecia probably just delays the death of the hair follicle.
