I live in Toronto and recently heard a radio ad from a local hair loss clinic stating they offer FDA approved laser treatment.. comments please..

Has the laser been FDA approved?

Yes, but it is the FDA approval that simply states using the device will not harm you.

I am under the impression that some company's were under fire for improperly marketing the product?????

With that said, purchasing a hand-held laser device for your personal use is your choice---I am of the stance that aside from your wallet it cannot hurt you---and if it helps, even in some small way, even just mentally it is fine.

However, if you believe this is an alternative to Propecia, that would be a mistake in my opinion.

Also, do not fall for these weekly laser treatments that cost thousands of dollars---the hand-held laser will provide the same benefit and costs much less, imho.

Again, there are those who hate the laser, those who think it is great---Best to talk to some users on the forums and gather information before chucking some coin out for one.

    Take Care,

Arrow LLLT Not FDA Approved For Hair Loss

These Low Level Laser Light (LLLT) devices have not been approved by the FDA to treat hair loss.

Here’s an interesting article on The Bald Truth website concerning illegal sales of non-FDA cleared laser devices:

I was one of those idiots who fell for the weekly treatment scam. I lost thousands of dollars that I could have put toward a hair transplant or used for my family. It makes me mad every time I think about it!
