Regaine/Rogaine storys?

Hello.

I spoke to my doctor about propecia the other day and he put me off it completely, saying that my penis testicals will shrink and all the other side effects we all know about......

I am concidering to start using regain/rogaine foam. This is for my hair line which is receeding and driving me mad.

Has anyone used regaine for the hairline or just the crown? were there any side effects?

Will it help prevent hairloss from the hairline/temples?

Also can anyone from the uk reccomend a good hair clinic or dermatologist in the uk (pref north west). One that is reliable and helpful. (my doctor wouldnt put me through to a dermatologist because he said 'it isnt an important enough reason for me to go'.

Any help would be appreciated as i am very depressed.

Rogaine foam worked well for me, gotta be on it twice day though,can be tricky if your hair is a bit long. Use Nizoral bout twice a week too. My doc said same about propecia.

Thankyou very much for the reply. My hair is quite long....Did you experience any side effects? I have been reading other peoples storys about regain and have made a me a bit weary of it thats why i posted this thread. How effective did you find it? did you use on the hairline?

What I did was shave my hair down to about a 1 for a few months before I started, got a bit of a shed alright but it wasn't that noticeable as I had my hair short. I thought if it didn't work I just keep my hair short. After a couple of months I let it grow out and there was a big difference, still keep it short enough. I have been using it now for about 6 years and prob would be a lot balder had I not used it at all. You'll really never know unless you try it. Best of luck fella.
