    19 and paranoid

Hey, I am beginning to feel a little paranoid. I don't know why, but I feel like I am starting to lose hair on the top of my head. It doesn't help that my father is bald; although, no one on my mother's side has experienced hair loss. Well, I'll upload some pictures and please tell me how I look. Thanks.

It doesn't matter which side of your family has a history of hereditary hair loss. If either side has it, you have the potential for it in your genetic makeup. You are young though, so you have a lot of time to keep track of it and see if it is going to happen to you.

Worrying and stressing over it will do more harm than good though. Stress can cause hair loss. So do your best not to worry about it. Just keep a casual eye on it. From what I can see in your picture, you really don't have anything to worry about at this time.

I think for now you are just growing into your adult hair. I do not think stress causes hair loss but I do think that if you have the gene for hair loss stress can certainly speed up the process. Keep a close eye on your situation and go see a hair restoration physician if you notice any further thinning/hair loss.
