I'm 24 and I've been on fin for 5 weeks. Way too soon to see any results, yet I'm sure. If I'd have caught it a year ago, I'm sure my hair would be great, but hindsight is always 20/20.
Anyway, I feel this pic shows the situation as it highlights the thinner area next to my cowlick well. The only good feeling I have about this, is that most of the lost loss is recent probably around 6-8 months before starting fin late November.
There is also no place at the vertex that has gone 'bald' just miniaturized and thin. As the loss is recent, I should have a good chance of thickening it up, right? I've been on 1mg fin for 5 weeks, just waiting it out.
Anyway here's the pic of my crown from yesterday. It's thinning quite a bit on the left side of the vertex, I'm really hoping to thicken it up. I will add minox if needs be, but I heard propecia was effective at the crown? I think I still caught it early.
Just looking for some encouragement. Any thoughts, guys
Thanks, Dave, but I think maybe the picture makes it look better than it really is. This was taken in sunlight about 7 weeks ago and was pretty much the picture that made me make the jump to get on fin.

That is correct. Your chances are good - but it won't happen quickly. It takes at least 12 full months before you will know if Finasteride has arrested the loss. It takes longer before you will know if you will have any regrowth.
