    Default Rogaine Question

    Hello all,

I'm 24 years old and have noticed my hair beginning to thin, at first starting with loss of hair among the front sides on top of the head. I kind of freaked out a little bit, went to a doctor and went on propecia and Rogaine. Now after about 4 months, there is still some loss on the top of the head but my hair on top has definitely thickened and it looks more full again on top. However, I recently got the hair on the side of my head cut pretty short and it looks like it's definitely thinning on the sides now (especially the left side of my head). I was wondering if Rogaine works on the side of the head or is it just on top of the head? Any suggestions for thinning hair on the side? I may also attempt to grow the hair out longer on the sides to make it look fuller.

On a side note, what are everyone's thoughts on use of propecia? I think it has definitely been helping thicken/possibly even re-grow hair on the top of my head but I've also been noticing some of the side effects - for example, sexually having errections that aren't as hard as before.

Rogaine (or generic Minoxidil) works anywhere that you still have hair. It does not work on areas that are completely void of hair.

I have had good experience with my laser comb. You might too. The laser comb is expensive though and it doesn't work for everyone. I feel it is worth a try though. Hairmax offers a 20 week money back guarantee. That is plenty of time to determine if laser therapy will improve your hair. If it does, great. If it doesn't, take advantage of that 20 week money back guarantee and get your money back.
