Default Am I wasting my rogaine

I apply it at say 6-6:30 am, and then sometimes I miss the 6-6:30 mark in the evening and get to it by 7-7:30 or 8. Sometimes I apply at 7 and then miss 7 at evening and apply at 8. Or sometimes ill apply at 6 am and miss 6 and 7 pm completely and apply it at 8. Does this cause a bad result, or is it really not a big deal?

Not a big deal... Sometimes (1-2 times a week) i only apply it once, and still no hairloss, and i've been on the med for like 4 months now..

(I'm using the 5% solution, liquid) (my doc adviced me to use 2%, but it got discontinued)

The time of day does not matter. Just make sure to use it morning and evening. The time between doses does not need to be equal. Approximates are good enough.

2% Minoxidil has not been discontinued. The men's "regular strength" Rogaine was 2% Minoxidil. That one might have been discontinued, but 2% lives on as Women's Rogaine. It is also available as generic women's 2% Minoxidil.

I do not think that being off by an hour or two makes any difference. Are you using the foam? I tell my patients who are using the foam to only apply at night before bed. The stuff really sticks on scalp for close to 24 hrs. Is a little more expensive, but at once a day it should last twice as long.

My doc told me the same as Dr. Charles. Just before bed seems to be fine.

    Default Minoxidil

Hi, I've been using 5% Liquid for 2 months, but it's not rogaine and it slowed the shedding. But I tried the rogaine foam last night and today I shed like crazy. What should I do? I thought as long it's minoxidile it didn't matter. Is it cause one is foam and the other is liquid.

Shedding is an indication that the medicine is working.

Default Help with my plan- Kind of a n00b question too

24 year old with typical MPB here. Although my hair might not look too bad for to the casual observer, it is thinning out some in the crown vertex and across the top. Hairline and temples are not too bad, but I'd probably lose them eventually if I didn't treat them.

Finally sorted it out, I'm starting propecia next week, have an appointment will get a prescription and will start treatment.

I understand you can buy Rogaine/Min or Regaine as we know it in the UK over the counter, but I'm planning to give propecia at least 6 months before I add this, as I want to know what is working.

I may add Nizoral, my itch comes and goes.

Does this sound like a good plan for starters?
