Default Should I be using Nizoral?

Now I am sure I'll be told that I should be using Nizoral but i'm going to ask this just incase there is anything else that could help. Im on about my 5th month of using finasteride and only recently did the initial shed stop and it began to look like some good was happening. Then about a week or two ago more hair started to fall out and i seem to have quickly gotten a bad case of dandruff. The dandruff is now pretty bad and it seems to be keeping me from any progress. Is nizoral the answer to this dandruff? I tried to find it when I first started fin and my drugstore was sold out so I just forgot about it until now. My scalp doesn't seem to itching much but the flakes are really bothering me. Has anyone else gotten a spontaneous case of bad dandruff while using fin? any info will be appreciated.

Nizoral is a great medicated shampoo that helps a lot of people. I feel it is a helpful adjunct to treatment for hair loss.

Currently, Nizoral A-D (1% Ketoconazole) is in supply shortage. I had to order the last bottle I bought. I ordered through CVS. I have read others have ordered it through Walgreens.

There is also a prescription strength Nizoral (2% Ketoconazole). I don't know if that one is in supply shortage. If you are in the U.S., you will need to get a prescription from your doctor to get Nizoral (2% Ketoconazole).

If you choose to use Nizoral, make sure you don't over use it. If you get Nizoral A-D (1% Ketoconazole), you only use that once every three or four days (basically twice per week). If you get Nizoral (2% Ketoconazole), only use that once per week.

thanks for the fast response Tracy C. I do want to start using nizoral and i just checked the website of the walgreens near me and it says its in stock so ill see. Hopefully this helps my dandruff problem. I have heard before that nizoral is in scant supply recently. Does anyone have any idea why?

I wrote the company and their reply was that they moved production to a different facility and they are working hard to meat demand.
