Default HT surgeon in Australia please?

    Hi Everyone,

Could someone please recommended a good HT surgeon in Australia please? Preferably one that specialises in FUE technique and also able to achieve excellent density & natural hairline (eg. like with Dr Alvi Armani).

Just that it appears that nearly all HT surgeon reside overseas with next to none in Australia...well, apart from Dr Ray Woods. Anyhow, some additional names of other local HT surgeons (recommended ones please) would be much appreciated.

    Thanks & Regards,

    BeyondBrawn

You will need to come to the States or Europe for an FUE session if you have already looked at Dr. Woods.

Off the top of my head, I cannot think of anyone who offers what you are seeking in OZ.

Please ask as many questions as you need to.

Jason is correct. Ray Woods and his sister are the only hair transplant surgeons in your part of the world who perform FUE well, in my opinion, and as you probably know, the Woods Technique is what started it all. Why aren’t you considering seeing Dr Woods?

    Hi Spencer,

Thanks for your comments (and Jason's too), much appreciated. Why wouldn''t i consider using Dr Woods? Well, somehow i got the impression (when i last spoke to him in person) that he's not able to achieve good density...like with Dr Alvi Armani.

    Best Regards,

    Hey Julz,

Ray Woods has more experience than anyone in the field when it comes to FUE. He might be more conservative than some, but it’s because he firmly believes that doing it his way provides the best graft yield. However if you're uncomfortable with this approach you should consider traveling to the U.S. For FUE.

Just the thread I was searching for! I also live in Australia and am looking for someone here to do the procedure.

Why isn't Dr Woods listed on the IAHRS website, if he's a pioneer and expert in the field?

    Hey Jimmy,

Welcome to the forum. Dr. Woods is certainly a pioneer in the field and in my opinion very good at what he does. The only reason he is not a member of the IAHRS is because he has never applied for membership. If one day you are seriously considering surgical hair restoration he is someone you should sit down with the help assess your situation.
