    Default I bear good news!

    Hello to all hair-loss suffers!

My name is Paul and I'm Korean-American. I've realized that my hair was rapidly balding about a year ago. So, I decided to take ACTION. Here's what I did:

    1) Finasteride
    2) Minoxidil 5% twice daily
    3) Centrum multivitamin
    4) Omega 3 (fish oil)

Initially, I shed A TON to the point where I started cussing. It was horrible and made my already thin hair thinner. BUT DON'T LOSE HOPE AND KEEP GOING! I can't emphasize that enough. Like you, I've doubted minoxidil because of the horrible shed, but believe me, the shedding STOPS after about 2 months. I applied minoxidil 2 twice daily ALL OVER MY HEAD. I figured 200mL bottle of minoxidil costs me about 50 bucks a month. That's less than 2 bucks a day. IT'S WORTH THE INVESTMENT.

Hear me brethrens, I was in your position at one point. But now I feel great and look even greater!

If you have any further questions, leave me a rely and I'll reply back to you as soon as possible. I'm here to help and give you hope!

    Let's get to it!

p.s. I started to get results around the 3rd or 4th month. Currently, I've been on finasteride and minoxidil for a year.

I didn't notice any shedding while i was on fin alone. When i started minox, that's when i experienced crazy shed. But that stopped 2 months later and grew back a ton of hair.

The information I read on Finasteride does say that shedding may happen while on Finasteride.

Shedding is associated with every treatment for hair loss that actually works. It is what it is. Shedding is an indication that treatment is working. Think of it as the weaker hairs need to shed out of the way so stronger hairs can grow in their place. Stick to the treatment and give it a reasonable amount of time to determine if it is working for you (a full year).

I'm currently on Fin and noticed an increase in shed.

Did you start both the Fin and Minox at the same time?

Hi, did u have any frontal thinning..?
on fin for 7 months and minox 10% once a day for 2 months.. everytime I run my fingers, about 2 hair come out. Not sure when this is going to stop ..
I am on the same regimen as you are .. and I am Asian (Indian). Did it work for your frontal thinning ? Did it thicken your hair?

I started minoxidil about a month after taking fin. During that month, I did not incur any shed. Minoxidil, however, will get you to shed like crazy. But fear not! The shedding will stop! I shed about 70-100+ a day. But all that got replaced by thicker hair strands.

It did help with the frontal thinning as well. I applied minoxidil twice daily (5&#37 and the shedding slowed or stopped after 2-3 months. Right now, i shed only 2-3 strands. I suggest you apply twice daily instead of once.

Thanks, dda! Yes, get on fin as soon as possible. Korea has its own fin brand and it's much cheaper than propecia. In any case, I'm glad to hear that your shedding decreased!! Fin + min = amazing combo.
