Default Techs..how can you judge their competance?

    Calling all HT veterans..
Typically what % of the procedures are carried out by techs rather than the surgeon?

I realise 'many hands make light work', but how can a patient trust the expertise and dedication of the ancilliary staff?

Does the surgeon pversee the ENTIRE procedure..i would hate to think that the surgeon is not in theatre throughout the procedure.

What are your typical experiences, and how can i verify that my surgeon would be properly involved ?

Great thread starter, i haven't anything to add just wanted to see the responses you get.

We all have off days but for some reason i imagine the techs having more bad days (just another day at their office type thing but maybe i'm just naively overly cautious) than the ht doctor yet they pay a massive part in the final hair count...but hey the doc can't do it all themselves!

...excuse my grammer on this one.
