The primary reason for taking meds is to STOP further loss. Any real benefits ( if you are a good responder ) in terms of regrowth will only really be able to be monitored after 6-8 months with clear comparison pictures in exact same conditions.
Prevention of further loss is the main objective of taking finasteride.
0.5 MG IS JUST AS EFFECTIVE AS 1MG

From 1mg to .5 mg
Within the last year I started noticing some negative side effects(low libido, softer erections, etc..) from taking propecia. I'm 35 yrs old and have been on the drug for over eight years. IMO it's worked really well at preventing further hair loss but these side effects are starting to get to me.
Instead of stopping cold turkey I'm considering lowering my daily dose from 1mg to .5 mg. Or I've heard from some that you can take 1mg everyother day instead of daily. Any thoughts on what the best method would be to lessen the side effects?
Thanks.
